Steering response after mud tires.

hmm. What changes about a tire with an increase in load capacity. The tires I was looking at are 3245lbs

All kinds of things... The rubber compounds, construction methods, reinforcing layers, additives in the materials, numbers of layers of the different materials... There is no hard and fast rule. Each manufacturer has their own secret recipe. In the lab where I work, we've got piles of tires of all different makes models, and sizes that we've cut sections out of to analyze the constructions and materials. Every single one of them is different. For example, in a Goodyear Wrangler AT/S, moving from a C load range to a D load range only changes the compound in the sidewall to a stiffer material. However, moving from one size to another often changes the layer pattern and construction method. Continentals and BFG's are made completely different of entirely different materials.

There is no single tire that's going to do what you want it to do. You simply can't use the same tire to autocross as you use to hit the trails. Every tire will be a compromise in some way, and the key is finding that tire which meets the performance standards you need it to. A mud tire will suck arse on the track, and a street tire will suck arse on the trail and in the mud. That's why most tires fall somewhere in between.

Yeah. I know.

What i need is 2 sets of tires. One street one off road. actually what i need is 2 cars. off road explorer and a street machine.
