Hi, I've been wanting to do 2 things to my Explorer (98 XLT, 2WD, 4dr) for a long time. Just never got the time/money to research. What could I do to lift my X say, a 2 - 3 inches?? IF so, would I need gear changes? I don't know much about lifting

I'd also like to have a stiffer ride...my X feels too wobly at times, specially when I go over bumps or road damages. Should I install coil overs? A new sway bar?

Thanks for the help ;) I'm really new to suspensions/mechanics

a 2 inch torsion twist and 2 inch shackles will give you about 2inch lift, and run you only 55 bucks, it will also make the front much stiffer

Cool...how could I accomplish those? Any info or place where I could lear how to do them?? thanks ;)

ya, call 4wheelparts.com to order the warrior-153 shackles, i'd also say get the pro-comp AAL,

for the how 2 install, go to useful threads and search there, will be good write ups on both, i just did this lift last weekend. best thing i've done yet, and easy.

at desertrat.com, they have war 153's for $49.52 shipped
