Hello out there. I have a 2003 stock Explorer. Very cold in the Northeast lately. While sitting in traffic, my Explorer began to rev as if I had the gas pedal floored to the point that I had to stand on the brake pedal to hold it back until I had presence of mind to shut the ignition off. Then I'd restart the truck and it would run as if nothing has happened. The truck runs beautifully otherwise. I checked it into my mechanic and he's been driving it for a week to try to experience the same thing and of course the truck is fine now. Anyone out there experiencing the same phenomena and if so what's the fix? Is there a fuel delivery "computer" out there that I can replace preventing this from happening again?
