My '98 Explorer is having some funny issues. When I first open the door dome light works. Can engage the ignition key and turn on power and wipers, and power windows will work. After starting engine the dome lights quits, as do the wipers and the power windows. Power door locks work fine all the time.
I might drive it awhile and then check the wipers and they work as do the windows and the dome lights. Might drive a little while longer and suddenly things are not working again.
I can sometimes detect a "click" sound when things stop working (and sometimes when they start working).
Some have mentioned it might be a relay type switch that is going bad.
I'm not too skilled...but have tried to look at some wiring diagrams...but no luck to this point.
