:bounce: I dont know, its started like the sound of a paper in bicycle spokes. Now it sounds a lot like something rotating badly. It only happens when I pull off or drive slowly. Does anyone know what this could be. I went under but didnt see anything that could make this noise. :burnout:

I have a similar problem in my left-front wheel on a 99 XLT, and according to the Ford dealership it is caused by a loose brake pad or caliper (I haven't taken a look at it yet or repositioned the pads). I hope this helps.

Thanks

But it turned out to be the rear lug nuts were loose. I had the tire changed and it seems the guy never really tightened them. So they were on the verge of coming off. Luckily I found it out before I hit the Hway. :fire:

Well that sound reassuring... makes you wonder about the quality of all other repairs those guys do. I know someone that actually lost a wheel that way on a busy highway and merely missed hitting a few lamp posts and a truck by pure luck, since the car was totally out of control... the guy went back to the service center that rotated the wheels (and forgot to torque them correctly) and they paid for all of the damage to his car without question (probably because they didnt want to get sued for a figure with five zeros).

Personally I always check & tighten all nuts myself after having any servicing on the cars/truck. It's funny, but I find that the nuts almost always aren't torqued to the end by the garages, and I can still torque them further about 1/4 turn. If you can't trust them, trust yourself ! :smoke:
