Dont beat me up to bad on this one guys... i noticed my coolant tank is very low and need to be filled! But ive never done this before and im not sure if i know what im doing?! I have no manual for my truck, which sould explain how to fill.

Do i fill antifreeze to the bottom line and then fill the rest with water?

Thanks

You should only fill it to the "Cold Fill" line when cold, never full. It will just spill out when your motor gets hot. I have never heard of someone mixing fluids in there, just fill it with water.

Ok let me see if i under stand...add antifreeze to the cold fill line and then fill the tank all the way up with water?

Is this correct?

No. If the engine is cold, don't add ANYTHING past the cold fill line. The radiator antifreeze expands as the engine heats up, and fills the resivioir tank. Then it goes back in the rad as the fluid cools. If you add anything more than the cold fill level, it will over flow out the little tube. I say to just add water, no antifreeze, up to the cold fill line. The overall radiator mixture doesn't get affected by that little of an ammount.

Gotcha:o
