I'm looking for an amp for my sub. Is there any difference between using a mono amp and using a bridged 2-ch amp?

Mono bass amps were designed "specifically" to run subwoofers. 2 channel amps that are "bridgable" can run a sub or subs, but were ment for speakers. 2channels are cheaper, but the bass amps these days (most) use D class which sux less power from your alternator.

Make sure if you get a 2channel, and bridge it, that the amp can handle how you wire the sub or subs together...if you wire the subs wrong, you can blow the amp, or the amp and subs together...
