Well, for the first time my GS Designs GS2000 amp went into thermal shutdown today. I really don't know how it got so hot. I wasn't bumping it too hard but I guess it just got to that point where it shut off. I think my sub was pushed up against the seat too much and it was blocking air from getting to the amp. Anyways once the amp hit 170F degrees it shut off.

Also once I finally got my Clarion amp back I was having trouble with the left channel cutting out especially when it was hot out. Then I noticed that the fuse was only 15 amps when it should have been 25-30 amps. Since I replaced the fuse with a 30 amp one and I haven't had any problems with the left channel cutting out at all. Any ideas why the amp would do this?

sounds like you fixed your problem. i had a similar problem with the left channel of an amp cutting out. i opened the amp up and saw that there was a small piece of uninsulated wire touching the +&- of the left channel together. it would only touch over bumps and deep bass hits. so i used some high temp silicone to secure it and had no more problems after that.

I'm just taking a wild stab at this one , but if your fuse was supposed to be a 30 amp, and you had a 15 amp in there, well maybe not you but there was a 15 amp in there, the amp probably wasn't getting sufficent current to keep both sides running, if thats not the case, i dunno i am just guessing anyways.
