Yes, several aftermarket companies have made fitted forms to put an 8" or even a 10" sub in that cargo hole. (MTX, QLogic??)Try a search, there are several threads here on this.

are they any good in producing sound

Dunno, I don't have one myself, but there are plenty here who do. I've read that many are please with them for a little bump in the back, but if your into serious boom, it probably won't please you. Like I said, try a search and see what you come up with.

stealthbox

YES!!!! Do it!!!
I got a JL stealth, and it has made all the difference. It comes with a 10W0, so upgrade to the 10W6 (their Sound Quality sub) b/c the 10W3 (SPL sub) won't fit in it. The 10W0 could handle about 150-200 watts of clean power. The 10W6 can handle 250-300 clean power. They bump loud enought for the general population, but don't think they will hear your two time zones away.

BTW, the JL subs look for .5-.75 cubic feet of airspace, and the stealthbox is .6 cubic feet. Those engineers worked pretty hard to get it just right.
