Ok I have 2 Infinity Subs that are 4ohms each and I was going to wire them in parallel to have a total of 2ohms resistance. My question is how exactly do I wire this if I have a mono amp? I'm planning on building my own box so do I only need 1 cup w/ the pos. and neg. terminals or 2? Or do I just splice the speakr wire from one sub? also if both subs are rated 250RMS and I going to run them both w/ a 600RMS amp what wire gauge and size fuse do I need? I was thinking a 4ga w/ 80 amp fuse. Thanx Alot

Ok thanx... I unbder stand how to wire the subs but what I was wondering is if the opening in a subwoofer terminal cup will fit 2 speaker wires instead of 1, or if I would have to splice 1 speaker wire with another. Thanx

OH, hmmm, i've worked with a bunch of different terminals.. depends on the one you get. Some will work, some may not..also depends on your wire.

i just did the same exact install. i have 2 12" pioneer subs that are 4 ohm each. i bought a box that has two sealed chambers. i drilled a hole in the devider wall and ran speaker wire from one sub to the other. basically, run the positive and negative wire from the left sub to the positive and negative on the right sub. then, take a new piece of speaker wire from the right sub, and connect to your terminal cup on that side of the box. now, both subs are running to one outside connection, and the 2 four ohm speakers will run at two ohms. from the terminal cup, just run the (+) to the amps (+), and the (-) to the amps (-). make sure the amp is 2 ohm stable, or you will fry it. i bought a fosgate 200m series amp at best buy on clearence for $89. it is a 200 watt x 1 mono amp @ 2 ohm. it sounds awesome. i would use 8 gauge wire with a 40 amp fuse. wal-mart sells a nice kit for $20. for the same thing (different brand) at best buy or any stereo shop, you will pay $80 - $100. good luck.
