sucuring subwoofer to floor

does anyone have any suggestions on how to secure my subwoofer box to the floor? it has slid back a few times when i accelerate up a hill. i put some of that no slip material under it and that helped a LOT with side to side movement but it still tips over sometimes and then i gotta re-attach the wires. if anyone has any pictures could you please post them....thanks

I just use cargo holding wedges like this:

Actually now I also have bungees that go from parts of the rear seat over the sub box and down to the cargo hook in the floor.

People have used those hooks on the cargo floor, they have also drilled through the floor to stop movement of their boxes. For a temp. fix use a lot of velcro all around the bottom of the box.

I used "L" brackets and padlocks. Not only does it not move, it helps prevent against theft:

hMM.. i dont even have to secure.. i have 3 alum10qs weighing 25 lbs each, with my big a2300hcq amp that weighs prob 20-30 lbs on the box, and the box,, so figure a over 100 lbs.. that aint going nowhere.. but i do plan on securing it like vairking when it gets warmer

i know this is off topic, but how does your sub sound vairking? i was looking at it online today, and they 12's look serious.......myself, i have 2 punch 12 hx2's.......
and for the next system, i was planning on getting those pro compressions.......

as for the mounting, my box will be secured to those metal hooks on the floor....im going to lift them up and bolt the bottom of the box to it......its going to be a raised false floor.

I have basically the same setup, but I still secured the box to the trunk with a bunch of different things... Having your system stolen once will make you paranoid.

I think it sounds awesome. I havnt had it metered yet, but I will this spring. For the amount of cash I put into it, It has to be one of the loudest and cleanest sounding setups I have heard. Mind you this is only a 10" sub, I can only imagine with a 12 or 15...
And having your system stolen WILL make you paranoid...My last setup was ripped off, so the main goal of this one was to make it as unstealable as possible. I wont go into the details here, but it would take someone quite a bit of effort to get this one

did you just drill right into the floor for the L brackets to mount? bit of explaination if you would

Yup, I just used 2 carrage bolts for each bracket, and then 2 sheet metal screws, so even if the theif got under the truck and unbolted the carrage bolts, the sheet metal screws would still hold it in place. Any more ?s just let me know
