HI everyone,
My Explorer sits in a parking lot all day in the hellacious GA heat. Does anyone manufacture, or can anyone recomend a product that applies to the weather stripping and the window moldings, and will prevent sun rot and weather damage?

thanks
robert

I cover mine in a heavy coat of sunscreen before leaving for work each morning...be sure to use SPF 15 anything beyond is a waste.

Whatever you do don't use Armorall it makes rubber and plastic crack when you stop using it.The only thing I can suggest is a silicone based product like Tire Wet.Put some on a towel and rub it on,but be warned if it rains or the next time you wash your rig it will come off and get all over your paint and it is a ***** to get off. OH And it collects dirt.Actually you can use a water based product and it won't be hard to get off Armorall is water based BUT DON'T USE ARMORALL IT IS THE DEVIL!I used to work at a car wash and we used a product that was made by Car Brite you can only buy it from them so I wouid go down to your local auto parts store and look for a moderatley priced dressing I had bought some stuff, can't remember the name but it was in a brown metal can and it worked great!
