Has anyone found a repair for the receiver attached to the interior sunroof glass causing the sunshade to no longer be able to attach to the ceiling? Can't find a replacement receiver. I have some Neodymium magnets that appear to hold it up in place but I'm thinking a large bump at speed might cause it to fall. May have to attach a threaded nut to the receiver and bolt to the handle. Would prefer a proper fix. Ideas? Photo of the receiver plastic cracked (difficult to see in this photo) so the male end on the sunshade (second photo) no longer fits snug in the receiver attached to the glass.

Head to the hardware store and get ya one of these do-dads. (keyed washer)

Take the pin with so you can get a size that will hold AND release properly.

Measure the depth to where the existing 'flats' are in the socket. Not super critical just needs to be close so the spring has some tension or the rattling will drive you into a chevy. If you go to deep you can just stack washers to recover.

Then use a Forstner bit to drill a flat bottom hole in the socket to fit the washer into. Highly recommend you remove it from the glass before attempting to drill!!!

Epoxy the washer in place. Done. :)
