Supercharger for SOHC?

Does anyone have or no about a supercharger for a SOHC. I have looked everywhere and can't find one. I am ready to buy one and need help. If anyone has any information it would be greatly appreciated.

Haven't heard of any either, but it would be sweet. Even a modest boost would make an explorer really fly. I mean, the SOHC is pretty quick already, at least in the Sport with 4.10 gears. Car and Driver puts it at 16.2 seconds in the quarter with that combination. I can imagine an extra 50 HP or so.

The only problem is, I would be on the gas all the time. I can't imagine feeding this beast if I had a blower.

Just finished reading the new Explorer
Express catalog. They are planning on having
an Eaton based 6 lbs. boost supercharger out
this summer for the 97-2000 4.0L SOHC.

I saw a BBK supercharger for Explorers. It did not specify which 4.0 liter it works on. It tells that with the supercharger the Explorer is more powerful then the 5.0 liter V-8!

Travis: After reading the BBK add, they must be talking about the OHC, because the SOHC performance almost already matches the data they have for the supercharged 4.0L.

Yeah...but I was wondering if they just didn't get data on a SOHC yet. Maybe it would boost the power on the SOHC even more? Just an idea...

hey 95xlt , I am sure the kit for the ohv would not work for the sohc, totally diff . engines , if it would I am sure it would boost it abuch
