supercharger question

what is the difference between a
Vortech Supercharger Kit with V-1 S-Trim and a
Vortech Supercharger Kit w/ V-2 SQ S-Trim

the SQ is really quiet and you cant hear it.

Yes, the above is kinda correct. You can hear it a little at idle but afterwards its pretty quite. Also something I've found is that the V-2 will produce more boost then the V-1 at the same RPM's, about 2-3lbs. I've spoken with Vortech and they say that since the gears are helical cut to make it quiter that this makes it more effecient and and therefore produces more boost. Now this is on the OHV 4.0's that I've installed them on.
