superchip in ex with manual transmission?

I have seen in searches that it does the ex good with auto transmissions. does a chip do anything in ex's with manual trannys? worth it to buy? thanks.

I have one in my 5 speed. I'm not sure it did anything, but the truck does run smoother. I got mine used from an owner on here, for cheap, so I figured it was worth the shot.

Have one in my 97 manual, seems a little snappier in the upper rpm band.
