Ok guys. I definately need some help here. I was given a 98 explorer sport 2dr v6 ohv manual trans. It had sat for about three and a half years and It was finally givin to me. It was in terrible condition. So as a birthday gift my mom said she'd pay to have it rebuilt. This pos "supposively" did a basic rebuild and replaced the oil pump and cam gear that turns the oil pump. It was runnin fine after we got it out but right away I noticed oil leaking. It wasn't quik but at least a quart a week. So I told mom but she wants to have nothing to do with it now. Keep in mind she paid 2660.00 for this! Now it still goes threw a lot of oil and when I accelerate too hard too fast, it makes somewhat of a rattling/rod slapping noise and when that noise is made smoke comes out the exhaust. And sometimes when I take off from a dead stop it makes a loud clank clank clank noise and smoke comes out of the exhaust. Sometimes smoke'll come out of the exhaust even when no bad noises are being made. I changed my spark plugs a week and a half ago and they all looked like they were burning too hot but the closest plug to the driver, was covered in oil. And a while after I got it back it started making a noise of what sounded like the throwout bearing. My clutch is adjusted way off the floor. It needs to get fixed. Id much appreciate it if anyone has any insight to these problems. I've only put 4200 miles on the truck since "rebuilding". I plan on taking it in to get checked to see if the rebuild was really done. At the moment I don't have the cash to have it checked cause I just started work so I have to save just to get this done. Then go threw all the bs to sue him. So any help is appreciated.
