Hey Gang,
I have a quick suspension question.
The other day I replaced the front stabilizer bar links that connect the lower front suspension arm to the front stabilizer bar on my 97 Explorer Sport 4x4.
One had broken, so I replaced them both. Given my usual bad luck and limited
experience and tools, things went surprisingly well!
I do have a question however that I am hoping someone can help me with....
How hard do I need to tighten (or torque) the nuts down? Since I’ve never done suspension work before, I don’t have any experience with bushings. Do I want to crank them down till the bushings are mushed? Or should I leave them kinda loose with some play? The side that was good
(factory installed), seemed that the bushings were just snug (not real tight), But it was hard to tell ‘cuz the factory bushings are different than the new.
Thanks in advance for your help.
