suspension upper ball joint?

Would anyone know what the diameter is of the main body of the ball joint that sits in the linkage?

They are usually on the shelf at parts stores. If you are on a first name basis with one (always a good idea, in my opinion), you might talk them into measuring it over the phone. I'd call my own parts store for you but I don't want to use up what few favors I have left!
