swapping LSD carrier with an open for a Lockright

Im puttin a lockright in my 92 and need to know if it matters what gears are in an open carrier I wanna pull from the yard. I have 3.73 and the carrier I want has 3.27. As long as it comes from the 8.8 does it matter?

i am not sure on the rear end but i know it does matter on the front

In the rear it does NOT matter what carrier you get.

The Ford 7.5" and 8.8" have no carrier breaks like the Dana axles do.
