- 2012 Ford Explorer
I have a black limited 2012 Explorer with the Sony radio. I am new to the forum, so be gentle, and this may be a dumb question. I, like most of you, am sick of MFT. I think it sucks and it is hardly working anymore with my iphone 5 and/or my ipod Nano 6th gen. I have done the master reset and even left it all day with the "sync specialist" at Capital Ford here in Raleigh who claimed he had fixed all the "bugs". Just as I knew it would, I picked it up, and the time kept going to a wrong time, the navigation was slow, my USB devices wouldn't connect, and it keeps doing a "scheduled maintenance" every single time I get in the car. I'm ready to be done with it, and am actually thinking about turning the car in early. Is there a way to get rid of the entire head unit and replace it without losing all kinds of stuff like heated/cooled seats, rear control, etc.? If anyone has ever gotten rid of the Sony radio, please send me the link! Thanks!
