Opened up Ford owner site and got a Sync 3 update from version 20204 to 23219, and installed the software on my Explorer.
Did not notice what this software version fixed on any of the screens yet.
Update: I remembered that at the end of the Sync 3 software update to the Explorer, the vehicle adds a file back to the memory stick that the software updated successfully. I went back into Ford Owner website, and it showed that I needed to still do this update. When you go into that screen, it gives you the option to select the file on the memory stick that shows the Sync 3 update was successful. Now my Ford Owner site shows that the software is up to date at version 23219!
Update March 27, 2025, I believe that I found a change from this update. When Navigation is displayed in the front dashboard, there is now a small speed limit sign showing the actual speed limit for the area that your are driving in.
