What system diagnostic software is everyone using or what is the available system diagnostic software for the year 2002+ Explorers?

I currently have door ajar errors causing the alarm to go off. I don’t want to pull all the door panels off looking for the problem switch or short.

I currently use VCDS for my Diesel Jetta and Audi TT maintenance and to keep them both running.

Does anyone use a system analysis tool like the VCDS for troubleshooting the Ford Explorers and what is the name of it? Cost?

ForScan open source software.

spray some WD-40 on all the door latches, open and close each door several times.one of them door switches are stuck.

Open source for SURE! And picking up a ELM327, Torque Pro or OBD Doctor is smart. The ELM327 you can get for $15 on Amazon and the software is free or $6 for pro.

Thanks, I will order the Forscan open source system and see if it has enough capability to tell me what door switch is stuck.

If the Forscan system does not work, I see there is more expensive Ford IDS dealer type software available.

I also want to be able to run the tests for the 5R55S transmission. It has 150K miles without a problem so far.

PS. I have tried spraying the WD-40 and opening and closing the doors a few hundred times. Still no resolution.
