This week I came across a woman who lives a few blocks from me, original owner of a 2001 Sport Trac 4.0, with 17,414 miles.

I thought it must be a mistake til I saw the original dry rotted Pirelli Scorpion tires, date coded 43rd week of 2000!

Check out the oil change sticker too! Come back June of 2017, at a mileage she is still 2,000 short of!

Talk about a death trap. This is the reason states need inspections.

That's amazing :)
I'll buy it for $ 1,000 :)

By my calcs she's driven it 500 miles a year for the last couple years. So what... four fuel fill-ups in two years? That's pretty good right there.

I bet that motor is FULL of carbon.

It didn’t look too bad when I pulled the dipstick and looked down the oil filler tube. Hopefully it was like ten 50 mile trips per year instead of 500 one mile trips, but second one is more likely.

personally I would rather it have 150k... 20k just sounds like fraud or plain neglect ..... sometimes not driving is worse than hard miles

and state inspections are a total rip off and I wish all states would ditch that trash
