Well, with a lot of patient guidance and help from folks on this forum, I finally installed a new Blend Door Actuator Motor and it’s WORKING.

I now have heat and air conditioning from the dash, defroster, and floor vents.

Total cost:

$70 for the Actuator Motor
$8 for a set of metric box wrenches
Time spent – about 8 hours total…

Not having to get this done at the shop – PRICELESS! (Actually, I saved about $1,000 in labor charges – WOW!)

Thanks to all of you for your suggestions, diagrams, and coaching. I couldn’t have done this alone.

Steve

the folks here are great, agreed.

Was this your front under dash unit or the rear aux heat/ac unit?

I have to get my aux unit done in the next few weeks. Dreading it (bad back), but at least I have instructions from thie fine folk here.

This was the one in the front dash behind and under the radio and heat/ac control panel. What a job to get in there!
