I'm new today. Have a question. I have a 2005 Sport Trac XLT, 4X4, 4.0 SOHC Vin K. Going to do an engine swap using the engine from a 2005 Explorer XLT, 4X4, 4.0 SOHC Vin K. My question is will this engine work from the Explorer? Ford reman numbers are:
2005 Sport Trac - 4L2Z-6006-FARM / Original Engine # 5G-980-AA
2005Explorer - 4L2Z-6006-DARM / Original Engine # 5G-960-AB
Does anyone know what the FARM and/or DARM stand for? Intakes are different and the locations of the coil packs are also different. Everything else appears from what I can see looks to be the same.
