Another reason I only drive Fords...

Changed my front shocks on my '94 4x4, took exactly 10 minutes(with help of impact wrench, of course). No need to even remove front wheels, just turn 'em. Too bad all repairs weren't this well thought out by the engineers! The rears look quite a bit harder, but still...I am so sick of oil filters that are impossible to reach, spark plugs that require the removal of the rear bumper, accessory belts that require engine mounts to be removed, etc, etc, so this was a nice change.

By the way, I put on Monroe SensaTracs, the ride is amazing compared to before, but I could have put an elastic band on there and it would have done more good than the old(original) shocks. There was almost no resistance on them at all.

I am sure this info is nothing new to you all, but I was so impressed, I just had to post.

Good ole` Ford, always thinking ahead! I swear, my Ford Explorer has about 134,000 KM on her (I know, not a hell of a lot, but still..), and she is still going strong, maybe even a little better from when I first got her, but damn.. only Ford!!

just changed the shocks on mine with Monroe Reflexs. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!
Hey ilikedell, the model that you have in your pics, is the exact colour as mine...just that my interior is grey. BTW, where did you get it from? Glad to see another Calgary owner around here!

I have 5K miles on my 2000. I'm wondering...should I change my stock shocke to the Monroes anyway?
