I say this because of this web page taught me to recover my console myself, saved me at least 100.00 to 150.00, I have learned about PO codes positions of different sensors, how to change them, and so much more, I cant remember.
Try to go to Ford Dealer and ask a question.:thumbdwn:
No way.
This web page is so helpful.
Thanks, more than I could say.

Glad all is well and that the forum has helped so much! I kind of went through the same thing when I bought my Ex, and after saving the first chunk of change, went Elite and tossed some support to the forum since it's not free to run- the owners/mods do an awesome job.

Happy Ex-ing!

I once asked a Ford dealer what a certain SRS code was. They would not tell me unless I let them hook it up to their scanner for $85! I asked one of their mechanics, and he said that they don't have printed manuals. All of their information is on their scanner, and there is no way to know without connecting it to the vehicle. This is how they make money. I also needed to get a parts diagram, and they said that their printer was broken. It works when they need to print a receipt.

I know these guys need to make a living, but, dealerships dont treat their customers very good from my experience.
I am driving one of their vehicles, have another at home, and you dont dare ask a service tech a question.
How ridiculas. Pontiac dealership is the worst I have ever dealt with.
Ford is a little better.
I have only owned Fords and one Pontiac Grand Am GT.---- (junk)
I will always drive a Ford the rest of my life.
And I doubt I will ever own a car again.
Ford Trucks will spoil you.:exp:
We had Hurricane force winds here the other night with a thunderstorm, I drove to quicktrip and sat it out under the fuel island canopy.
When the winds hit, with golf ball size hail, my Explorer didnt budge.
When I got home I heard the winds were clocked at about 88 mph.
The whole fuel island was stuffed with cars trying to get out of the hail.;)
I did see some real nice 4X4's that came in for cover.
Thanks guys

I had a 1990 Grand Am a while ago, and I know that they are junk. It kept breaking down every month, and it cost me about $300 a month just to keep it running. I finally had it towed away when the transmission went, but removed many of the new parts I put in. I have them listed in the parts for sale section of this website.

Yeah, I had a Grand Am GT Red Line edition 1994, near mint. I kept it covered all the time, ran from every hail storm any time, day, night, early a.m.
(We have bad storms here) and that car soaked me for money.
It didnt matter how much I babied it, it would have three things go at once the more I took care of it.
But, had I not ran from the hail storms, I couldnt have sold it.
I felt sorry for the guy that bought it, had a bad head gasket.
The reason I didnt tell him was I had no proof it had a bad head gasket, I just study Chilton's manuels.
I know the symptoms.
He seemed happy with it and I let him have that ........GM junker.
The car was beutiful in the drive way as long as it was setting.
Sqeaking, rattling, wierd smells, leaking R134, and more money.
I almost got on my knees and thanked God when the guy bought it.:D

I tried calling places to tow it away (the free donate your car places), and nobody wanted it. After 2 weeks I found a junk yard which took it, and even gave me $50! I was lucky to find somebody to take it. I didn't think that they would pay anything.
