I am about to lose all hope in ever identifying where the roar comes from.It doesnt do it with all four wheels off the ground and when I am going about 40 and take a curve to the right, the noise completely goes away until I pull straight again.A cv axle doesnt roar,it pops right? Is it possible that My front end could be so out of alignment that the roar could be the tires going against themselves on the pavement?

When I bought my XLT, the tires were making a loud roar coming from the front. The tires were oddly worn from a previous worn ball joint or alignment issue. The alignment was perfect when I bought it, so that was not the noise source. I swapped with a different wheel/tire set I had, and the noise was completely gone.

The only other likely things that could make a roar in the front would be differential and wheel bearings. If you ran it on stands and it is fine, then I would seriously consider looking at the tires, suspension joints, or alignment.

When you take the weight of the truck off the wheelbearing, it will stop making noise. Take a passenger for a ride, then be the passenger. Try to find which side the noise is coming from. Also, when you turn the wheel, you are changing the way that the pressure is applied to the bearing. The force is no longer direct to it, so that will also change the noise or stop it all together.
My money is on bad bearing

Already replaced both bearings and put new upper and lower ball joints in.Im almost convinced that its the differential, but im thinking that if it was the bearings in the diff. that i would hear them grinding even while it was up in the air.I'm due for a new set of tires,so I guess im going to do that and get an alignment and if that doesnt help,im gonna drive it until something locks up or falls apart.

That is a bad bearing for sure. It is called a hub and bearing on this car.

Jack up the front wheel a few inches off the ground and put both hands on the wheel and try to wobble it, you should feel a slight play, very small like 0.5mm .. if you feel the knocking and wobble the bearing is gone. It doesn't matter which side, if one is gone you might as well do both. if you don't feel it on one side jack up the other after.

Another way to tell is the noise will get louder over time, when mine first started to go I could barely hear it , it just started humming one day and in a few weeks it turned into a rumble.
