Is there someone who thinks to change the metal frame on the instrumental cluster of explorer 2006-2009.
It is really annoying under the sunlight and the worst design for a dashboard.

Yes, very annoying. So is the wood trim around the radio. Big sun glare off of that also.

I think the sun is the problem.

You should switch to the ones the mountaineers have as they are not chrome they are a satin finish and they dont have any sun glare at least that I have noticed.

I agree, the glare sucks. Also, I kind of think the plastic chrome looks a little bit cheap. has anyone attempted to paint any interior chrome pieces?

absolutely agree with the reflection annoyance.
Was thinking about trying to get some window tint film to cover around it but not sure how successful that would be.
Surprised this issue wasn't picked up in any vehicle sign off tests at Ford.

They did them indoors, or under a cloudy sky =-)

You could scuff them up and paint them with some satin or flat paint.
