i had the same problem in my 1994 probe, the battery was shot and the imobilizer was to far way from the ignition. also my explorer was fine i shut it off went to start it half hour later and click click click everytime i turned it over the battery had a bad cell so the battery was shot

also when my battery was dead in my probe it wouldnt let me put it into neutral or any gear

x2 ... rapid clicking + theft light and no crank = dead battery.

I have this problem in my 2002 explorer, I had my battery tasted and it was fine, I'm at a loss here any more suggestions?

And this had happen last week so I charged the battery and it worked fine for about 5 days now it's doing the same thing again

what was the voltage tested at? and my battery tested fine but had dead cell in it, my friend owns a napa store and he said its common problems that people dont test battery under loads just with a digital multi meter so it reads okay but under load not able to keep up

I just had it tested at autozone I don't know wat the valtage was tested at but I will have it re-tasted. Thanks for the info.
