thermostat gasket '02

I'm about to change the thermostat and I want to get it right the first
time. I have a Stant thermostat and an O-Ring. Is this all I need?

what is the reason for changing the thermostat? maintance? over heating ? or hot water gauge is being jumpy?

I'm flushing the radiator and thought it would be a good idea to change the
thermostat . The car has 110k on it and I'm changing out all the fluids. This web site has made the maintenance quick and easy.

well thats good preventive maintenance i just changed mine last week and the whole housing. My thermostat started sticking and i didn't realize intill it was too late and it put a crack in the lower housing and had to replace everything. Good thinkin bro change the thermostat.
