I have 10,000k HID's on my 06 X and no error messages..

is it the 35w or 55w kit?

i read from previous threads that their kits came with the harness, and others that didn't come with it. in which they received an error message

I honeslty had mine done at a shop, so Im not sure. Got a good deal..like $150 installed...but I dont know what all was done

I installed a slim hid kit off of ebay and have not had any issues with error messages. There is a lot of glare from the stock housings

I have an 06 xlt and I installed 35 watts at first with the "cambus harness" as they called it (but they're just capacitors) and it worked fine no msg, they wont work with out the capactitors because of the lessor wattage. I now have a 55w kit with 8000k bulbs with no probs at all. go with 55w much better looking

i have the 55 watt kit and im still getting the error msg.

one of the OEM harness ins't pluged in. i think ford's dash is pretty techincal and knows when each harness isn't fully being drawn from
