Third brake light on 96 xlt

my third brake light on my 96 xlt doesnt work,,fuse is ok,,does it have a bulb,,or do you have to replace the whole thing?

I'm pretty sure that the high mount brake lamp on your 96 is the same as the one on my 95. Mine is out too by the way.

Seems, we are out of luck unless you have a lot of extra cash around.

The whole ballast setup must be replaced... look for a price anywhere from $150 to $200 for part with labor...
