I've been readin up about wheel spacers...really want my wheels to stick out a little more than they do right now. Any recommendations on width (1"-1.5"). Is it safe to do bolt pattern adapters while im at it (5x4.5 > 5x5). I heard theres some risk about breaking lugs or what not. And lastly...are the 3rd gen's hub centric or lug centric?

I think we are hub centric and if you purchase quality spacers that are designed for the weight of the Ex, you should be okay. I think the people that have the problems are the ones that put like a 1/2" spacer on and only use the stock lugs. That causes excess stress and bam, break the lugs.

im currently running 2 inch spacers on mine and it looks very good. No problems at all with them, just make sure they are hub centric

anyone know that the bore the hub is on the explorers? what mm 70something?
