I recently have noticed a ticking sound at idle. Does not seem to happen right away when cold but seems to appear after a minute or two. I can hear it coming from under the truck but when i open the hood and try to listen from the top i cant hear it at all.
If i press the gas its gets faster for a second and goes away. This is raising the rpms from idle at 500 to 1k. The tick is not that loud either i have to be standing with in 2-3 feet to hear it. I cant hear it at all when i am inside the cab with the doors closed and the truck just running with all accessories off.
So i don't know i am running 5w30 dino oil, maybe i am having timing chain issues?
