Does anyone know where to get a tie rod here in the uk, for a 2000 Explorer?

I wondered if it is the same as the tie rod for the 2001 Explorer Sport Trac, which I have seen on ebay?

usaautomotive.co.uk or jeepchryslerparts.co.uk
I beleive both these guys can supply most of the steering susp parts.

I'm not one for a world order, but is there no way yet where one can buy parts with a card from over seas yet? You could make a million of this if it were up to capitalism. IMOP!

I love KEF speakers (hard to get in the US). Tie rods are like 15 Quid.

Amaising, independance was declared over 300 years ago and still no trade.

Ya know, I love my friends from over the puddle but it pisses me off a bit that they have such a hard time ordering from one of our parts retailers.

You shouldn't have to travel over the Atlantic for a $15 part. Are you telling me that your credit card wont ship there. It is designed by a bs gov and I didn't serve 10 years in the US NAVY to hear that. It's an old trade imbargo and an old way that needs to be gotten over.

An idiot can see better!

Thanks for the ideas folks. It seems the tie rod ends are easy to get hold of here, but not the actual tie rods (or inner as some call it). I have an 8 hour drive to London on Sunday, so when the tie rod started giving trouble two days ago - you can imagine my thoughts!!

Anyway, a friend is flying over to today from Nashville and has managed to get me the part from O'Reilly Parts down that way. $45 though is still better than £85
