I have a 91 EB with a blown head gasket, anyone know the torque specs?

The following is from an old 90 ranger shop manual:

4.0L V-6..... tightened in stages and in sequence.

1) torque to 44 ft. #
2) " 59 "
3)rotate head bolts 80 to 85 degrees.

That last one is strange!!!!!

Sequence:

5 1 3 7
6 4 2 8

Now it also says to torque the lower intake manifold at the same time to ensure proper fit & gasket crush.

1) 3-6 ft #
2) 6-11 ft #
3) 11-15 " and then 15-18 Ft #

Sequence:

2 4
7 8
5 6
3 1

So in a "nut-shell":

Heads first stage, then intake first stage, then heads, then intake, then heads, then intake and intake again.

Don't forget a dab of silicone in the 4 corners of the intake to head mating surfaces both before and after setting the intake maniflod (valley pan) gasket in place.

Hope this info helps.
