I am considering doing the torsion twist to my 2001, but I don;t want to void the warentee on my ball joints or front CV shafts. Has anyone done this, and not had a problem from the dealer when it was time for repair? Let me know. I only plan to go up an inch or so in front

i asked many dealerships and they said it will void it. but why dont u just raise it back up when u bring it back?

well, if I lift it and have to lower it when I bring it in the rear will still be jacked up and they will figure something is up. I just don;t want ot have to pay $800 for ball joints, but i still have 48,000 miles left on the warentee....so I would have to wait like 2 or 3 years before the warentee expires

i had mine lifted with a 2" BL TT/SHackles and i always got my work done under warranty. Ball joints, Tie Rods, Pinion seals, and they never said anything to me

i know what you mean. i wantto lower the front to match the back, but i have 3 years and 55000 miles left on mine. :p

well, I don;t think they would get mad about lowering...it is just raising it will make the angles greater on the joints and the CV shafts and could cause premature failure in some cases.

Same here...even after I did the shackles, and the TT...the ball joints went...all replaced under warrenty......man how I miss that.

ok, this is starting to look better for me. I only want to go up like an inch or so so it may not even be that noticable

why dont u call up a few dealerships and ask them
if they are ****, they might even void it cus of your tires, or something else stupid. i know it isnt much, but i always take off my mac intake when ib ring my car in. cus that could void everything to do wtih the engine. i def dont want that. just talk to the head of the service dept, and see what he says. some are cool, some are not

if they gave me a hard time about tires I would really question that because the tires do not change any of the suspension angles or geometry, but the lift does. I guess I will calla few dealers and see what type of response I get.
None have ever gave me a hard time about my K&N filter, but then again, none of them have prolly opened up the airbox.

well i mentioned tires because they could be a strain on suspension components due to them being heavier, and could also effect the transmissions, etc.. this is what some dealers will tell you. basically if you have anything outside of stock, some dealers will be jerks and give you a hard time. i hope u have better luck and find a better dealer that wont give u a hard time.

I talked to the workers at dealers and they dont care baout aftermartket stuff because they do them themsevles. however, the dealers and people behind the desk are usually jerks.
