I ended up finding Lincoln Aviator mirrors at a decent price and put them on my Explorer. They are mainly taller so still not that great for towing but they look amazing.

I purchased these, 99-06 gmc/Chevy mirrors. 95 bucks on summit racing. However, they do NOT fit on the third gen explorers. Tried on my 2003 XLS, the plastic door mount piece had to much of a point to it and wasn’t curved enough. No matter what, they still won’t work and the three bolts aren’t exact fit.
