With so much talk about tranny failure, I wonder what affect the tupe of ATF has on the failure rate???????

I run Mobil 1 with no failures at 72k miles. Chanfing to Amcoil soon.

As Gimp said, Mercon V is semi-syn, and that's what my 00 takes. I intend to keep on using it, and changing it regularly. Since the 00 is still low mileage (36K), I haven't had a tranny failure, and I hope with good maintenence I won't for a LONG time.

I'm still considering a spin-on filter kit for it......
