91EX 4X4 with 130,000 mi. The tranny is giving a grinding noise at any rolling speed. This noise comes in gear or in neutral, as long as i am coasting along. Sometimes it is hard to get it in gear like at the red light and i have to force it. I thought it may be the clutch, so i idled the truck in neutral, put it in 1st gear without engaging the clutch, and revved it to about 5000rpm. The truck surged forward a bit. Question is, do i have more than a clutch or slave cylinder prob here? Tell me what you guys think.
