Tranny Noise

About a week ago my tranny started to make noise, it sounds like someone is using a grinder when it in drive and when backing up...

past few days it's been doing it alot more. the dealer says notings wrong but it's still under warranty.

any help would be great thanks

How do you know it's your transmission?

It could just as easly be your cat heat shields rattling.
 






If you definately have any noise and still under warranty, take it to another dealer. Or find a reputable shop to diagnose it, and take that to dealer. Don't let the dealer get away with anything. The warranty is the only reason I can think of that people buy NEW automobiles these days.
 






I think Is the tranny because it only happens when it's in gear
 






Well that may be because it's at a different RPM, therefore changing the resonancy of the engine.

Do the "hose clamp mod" to your cat head shields and get back to us. Mine sounds just like a sawzall under there when it comes loose.
