Is there anything that can be done to prevent the tranny from running out of fluid on extreme up hill climbs?

When I still had the stock breather hose - I don't ever remember fluid leaking out it even on steep climbs. But of course we don't have the same transmission so this might be comparing apples or oranges.

You could extend the hose -- I replaced the stock breather with one that goes from the trannsmission and into the engine bay near the battery.

This has happen to me a few times, I have actual had transmission fluid come up out of my speedometer cable at the gauge cluster, other than getting a deeper pan, I don't think there is a solution

Now thats amazing :D your vehicle was literally bleeding at that point

I remember reading a troubleshooting manual about this problem on the A4LD. It recommended replacing the 3 seals in the rear near the governor. They are a split design. Check the diary for some information that might mention this.

It's not actually leaking out what I mean is that it "runs out" inside. The pump is running out of oil. Is there a different pick up, baffle or pan available for this?
