Today, 2/4/5, I went to put the truck into drive and I heard a big thud and it wouldn't go into drive. It will go into 2,1 and reverse with no problem. It will also go into drive after I start moving in 2nd. before this I had a problem with the shift knob being stuck between N and D. That's what started todays problem. Can you lose "drive" only in an automatic transmission? I have an appt to have it looked at on Monday, but I sure would feel better if someone here could offer some sort of explanation.
