OK I just would like to know if someone suggests going to get a rebuilt or a junkyard trans. To me its like playing the lottery either way. It has a imtermittent leak right now so I never know when it will dump off a couple quarts.

It seems like it leaks more when it is a hotter day. I 218k miles so far of which i put 99k. It leaks near the bell housing and seems to be very random. Any suggestions for a good course of actions, or perhaps let me hear your good/bad experiences.

Peace out

A junkyard trannie is a crapshoot at best. Rebuilds are problematic because a "soft rebuild" just isn't what this overworked trannie needs. Do your homework, and find a place that rebilds these like thy need to be... SOME hard parts, and soft parts. THERE is your best bet. I hate removing/replacing trannies. I love rebuilding them. Hmmm... concept, rebuild em right and replace em once.
