Hey Y'all,

In the morning I start it, back up out of my driveway and then put it in drive. When I press down on the accelerator, the engine just revs up and it does not move. After about 2 to 4 seconds it will catch and go like normal. Will not have that problem again until the next morning. It happens about 3 times a week but only in the morning. My mental interpretation is that it is pumping up the fluid until it is full and then it goes. It never happens when I first put it in reverse, just after I put it in drive.

X has 130k and the trans was rebuilt about 75k.

Ya think I am just a bit low on tranny fluid or something else going on here?

How long has it been doing this? Did it start with an onset of colder weather or not? Do you park on the same surface nightly and is it level? Have you ever had the fluid changed, flushed, or level checked? Has it had recent service? Have you ever seen any evidence of tranny fluid leakage? How long ago was the tranny rebuild (in time). Does it do anything else oddly, or has anything else changed coincident to this problem you describe? Your description sounds like its only having a prolem in first gear, is that how you see it? No delay in reverse?

Let's start there.
