Ok so heres whats up...my friend is lookin too purchase this truck from another friend for 500 dollars..so i went and checked it out with him to see whats up.

The trans doesnt shift into any gear when its running...and when u try to put it into revers it gives off a loud grindin noise..no other gear does that only reverse...so then i turned it off and i find out that every gear does go in once the vehicle has been turned off. Any ideas of what might cause this and solution to it would be MOST AWSOME...thank you for your time

hmmmm..i only find threads that say if its hard to shift..but ill give it a shot i hope it works then

alrighty then so im going to be replacing the slave cylinder and the clutch master cylinder too...and after that..ill post what happened!!!bbyyaahhh

I'd start with giving it a good bleeding. maybe changing the clutch master cylinder first, that way if its that and not the slave it'll keep you from dropping that transm for nothing. My '95 gives me the same trouble, so I bleed it and it's good for awhile, couple weeks if I'm lucky. Since I'm not loosing fluid, but am gaining air it's likely the master cyl. sucking in air. Who knows, you may just have alot of air or even moisture in the line somewhere.

hmmmm ill try that rout then since it doesnt involve droppin the trans!!!thanks for the info!!!!ill let u know whats the hap's when its all said and done!!
