My transmission is starting to slip slightly. 2017's dont have a dipstick so cannot check level or color. Maintenance book says 150K, I'm at 90K, figured I'd change it out.
Question is how much do I need? I ask because different sources give wildly different answers anywhere between 5 and 11 quarts. Ford parts site states 6 quarts as do several reasonably well rated DIY videos. However the Owner's Manual states 9 quarts for a 2.3L Ecoboost.
Normally I'd just drain existing and add until the dipstick reads full, but that is not an option. At best I can measure how much drains as a guestimate, but existing fluid level may be low given the slight slippage.
