If you're interested, look online for dealer coupons. I've had great luck lately as dealers want to move product through service, and I haven't changed my own oil the last 6 times. Each time I go I earn 'points' for service, I currently have $25 in points saved. For $17.95 using Motorcraft filter and oil, it isn't worth me buying the oil and filter and laying under the car. Instead, I eat popcorn and watch the bigscreen.
I just got a coupon for a trans service for my '97 V8, and it was for $89.95
Minus my $25, I could have my trans serviced for $64.95
Just avoid jiffy lube. They finally got the fluid level right after several transmission slips and 3 additional visits. I think i paid about 110 for it there.
